Vetting and Barring Scheme

The Vetting and Barring Scheme which introduces strong safeguards to protect children and vulnerable adults, was launched in October 2009

UPDATE - JUNE 2010

As you may be aware, the new Government has announced their intention to remodel the Vetting and Barring scheme. As a result the ISA registration phase of the scheme has now been stopped and therefore will not be launched on 26 July 2010.

Although the scheme has been halted whilst the Government undertakes its review, it's important to remember that the new safeguarding regulations introduced in October 2009 continue to apply.
