Delivering Race Equality in Mental Health
In 2007 the Care Services Improvement Partnership (CSIP)
commissioned MACC to carry out an enquiry into ways of maximising the
contribution of black and minority ethnic community initiatives to the
Delivering Race Equality Action Plan.
Working in partnership with
Manchester Social Media (formerly a Having a Voice Project) we produced
a film which showcases the strength, dynamism and diversity of black
and minority ethnic voluntary and community sector organisations in
Greater Manchester. It provides a snapshot of the main issues they are
facing, and can be used as a catalyst at public events to stimulate and co-ordinate the action of a range of relevant stakeholders and as a training resource for commissioners and practitioners.
We have also produced a written report which outlines the findings and key messages and draws on these to
put forward recommendations for action. It is available in our Reports section (see menu to the right).
UPDATE: The film is now available to view on our videos page: click here to view
