Community Legal Advice Commissioning 2009/10
During 2009/10 MACC was commissioned by Manchester City Council to support
voluntary-sector advice providers in the City of Manchester in engaging
with the major changes taking place in advice service commissioning
across the city. Current funding arrangements terminated during 2010, to be replaced
by new services commissioned jointly by the City Council and the Legal
Services Commission, who are now working together in a collaborative
procurement exercise.
It is this local procurement exercise (rather than any parallel national
procurements around immigration or mental health advice) that MACC’s
support and this Resource Pack focus on.
MACC can offer a range of support to voluntary-sector providers:
- training sessions;
- guidance through organisational change processes;
- facilitation of new and developing partnerships; and
- provision of information tailored to the current situation.
We are providing information primarily by publishing this Resource Pack, and through fielding any questions arising from it.
