Office Manager at CLES

Established in 1986, CLES is the UK’s leading, independent think and do tank realising progressive economics for people and place. CLES aim’s to achieve social justice, good local economies and effective public services for everyone, everywhere. It is an exciting time to join the CLES team as their work continues to diversify and their influence grows.

You will play a key role in managing the CLES Office. Sitting at the heart of the organisation, this position includes responsibilities around: day-to-day finance updating (utilising Sage); invoicing and office purchasing; human resources; general running of the CLES office, including managing the Chief Executive’s diary; arranging and administering the CLES Board of Trustees; and providing support to CLES communications and events activities.

You will have over three years’ experience in an office role, possibly with a local authority or other public sector agency, voluntary and community sector organisation, and/or charity. You will have the ability to manage a complex and diverse workload and respond to competing priorities in an efficient manner. You will have excellent people and communication skills. Training will be provided in aspects of this varied role.
